Explore beautiful parts of the island that most visitors will never see: abandoned villages, traditional communities, hidden-away churches & ruins, lonely donkeys, ancient olive groves…
There is a ‘Slow Trekking’ walk: easy going and do-able for anyone who is reasonably fit, visiting old olive and oak groves and Byzantine churches in unspoiled, pastoral scenery with superb views of the mountains of Naxos. The tour lasts circa 4 hours, maximum 1.5 hrs walking and costs 45 euros including transfers & a picnic lunch
The Hidden Naxos Tour visits one of the oldest olive trees in Greece, a traditional village and explores a mysteriously abandoned mountain settlement. The tours last circa 5 hours, some easy walking, and the price of 55 euros includes transfers & a picnic lunch
Tour groups are limited to usually no more than 6 – 12 guests.
Individual, private tours by arrangement

Stuart Thorpe, who guides these tours, is a professional photographer who has lived & worked on Naxos for over 20 years. He knows the island and its people intimately, and is a mine of useful and useless information, tall stories and dubious facts. Nonetheless, you will have a good day out!
AND THEN THERE IS THE BOOK:
“Just received your book!!!
I’ve only just started it but I already love it- you have a great way of writing, and I really enjoy your humor! This is just even more than I could have hoped for. Thank you for writing this!! Alex”
The unique and indispensable guide to Naxos. My take on the island based on the Hidden Naxos Tours: Stories, anecdotes, photos and descriptions, with maps, of off the beaten track places to visit: unspoiled communities, deserted villages, and things you would pass without knowing they were there.
